cook ’till ya drop…literally.

30 pounds of beef.

21 pounds of chicken.

7 hours.

48 meals.

$6.40 per meal.

On Saturday my friend Kari and I attempted our first shot at freezer meal cooking. Our wonderful husbands watched the kids while we slaved away all day (literally) in the kitchen putting together meals in hopes to stay ahead of the never-ending “what’s for dinner tonight” syndrome.

Here is a list of our meals:

Chicken Stuffing Casserole
Balsamic Chicken
Chicken Fajitas
Chicken Enchiladas
Taco Meat
Taco Soup
Lasagna
Mostaccoli
Meatballs
Southern Pulled Beef
Beef Stroganoff

(If you’re interested in the recipes comment on this post and I can send them to you)

We had fun cooking, talking, cleaning, laughing, and finished the day with tired feet, full freezers, and strange smelling clothes. (You try cooking that many different things in one day and leave without smelling strangely!) It is all worth the money and TIME we saved…but my house still smells like cooking. Wonder if it will ever go away???
